  • All of the materials he is using is Sandbar Willow. He explains about gathering the willow in the first couple videos. The weaving material is also Sandbar Willow that he split in the previous video: "Gathering Basket Making Materials 3"

  • Those are willow long ones. I'm not sure what the weaving one is, though.

  • Ahoy, Mate, I am guessing stipped Cattails or some multi budded stem, like Japanese Magnolias. O.F.D.Rocker, Jo

  • Ah! the urban naturals basketweaver, on the side of the road! It became confusing when he tried to explain coiling, which is a pity since it is one of the simplest weaving techniques, but certainly didn't look like it from what he did - impressive that he improvised all that in front of the camera in a matter of seconds. It is also a shame there is so much traffic noise in the background. I also would have liked to know what specific gathered materials he was demonstrating with.

  • Very interesting this system of binding Branch.

    Giuliano thanks

Molto interessante questo sistema di legatura dei Rami.

    grazie Giuliano
