I noticed Nick looking, well more like staring at my huge diamond ring on my left hand. I wonder whats going through his broken mind. You're getting married? My head shot up and met his brooding eyes. Uhm I lost my words as I lost myself in his warm chocolate brown eyes. Its like he didnt want me to say yes, Im getting married. I sighed. Yes Im getting married. I forced a fake smile on my lips. Oh.. Thats great. Whos the lucky man? Cody. Cody Linley. Remember he use to play as my love interest on Hannah Montana? He nodded. I remember. Thats absolutely amazing for you. He forced the fakest smile upon his pink lips. You really mean it? I knew he was about to lie to my face. Yes. Im completely happy for you. Again he kept that cheesy smile on his face. I nodded. Thanks Nick. I wouldve thought you wouldnt like it. Before he could speak the doctor walked out of his daughters room. Mr. Jonas? Nick turned to the doctor quickly. Yes? Is Kade okay? The doctor had a sour look on his middle aged face. Well. I was looking at Nick. He looked like he was about to burst from impatience. I almost laughed at his impatient face. Well What? The doctor sighed. Shell be undergoing serious stomach surgery to remove the bullet. Its wedged in there good, but we can probably get it out. Probably? You arent giving me a straight answer. I want a straight answer. Well, Mr. Jonas. There is a 50% chance she might live, 50% chance she might The doctor didnt have to say the word. Nick knew his daughter might die. Can I see her before she goes into the surgery? I need you and the mother to answer some questions with me in my office. But your lady friend can. He motioned towards me. Nick looks at me and sighed. Alright. Miley can go see her. The doctor nodded and started walking down the halls with Nick trailing behind him. I slowly walked into the poor girls room. I saw her little chest rise up and down. I stepped closer to her bed and saw her little eyes closed. She was amazingly beautiful. She was a little Nick. I smiled. Automatically her little eyelids flew open and her chocolate eyes were staring into mine. Who are you? I giggled. Im Miley. I grabbed a chair and pushed it next to her small cot. She sat up in her cot and looked at me. Youre my daddys friend? How could she know me. How do you know Im your daddys friend? My daddy talks about you when hes sleeping. She grinned widely at me. I couldnt help but mirror the smile on my face. Really? What does your daddy say about me? She smiled a sweet smile. He says that your pretty and that youre his angel. I blushed a deep red. He also said that you might one day be my new mommy. I looked at her shocked. What? She looked at me with sad eyes. You no want to be me mommy? She looked like she was about to cry. No. No. Id love to one day be your mommy. I smiled and gathered her little body into my arms. Her skin was so soft like Nicks. Her eyes were so gorgeous like Nicks. She even had his little serious face. This little girl is like a reminder of how gorgeous Nick really is.

Nick;
I shook the doctors hand as I exited his office. So shes going into surgery now? He nodded. Yes. Would you two like to see her before? I looked at Nicole and we both nodded. Well go on now. He stretched his arm out toward the door. I smiled and started walking into the room, but stopped as I saw Miley hugging Kade. Whos the stranger hugging our daughter? I heard Nicole ask me. Oh thats Miley. She came to visit. Nicole scoffed and pushed me aside and walked into Kades room. Mommy! Kade released her arms from Mileys neck and hugged Nicole. I sighed and walked into the room. Kade noticed me automatically. Daddy! I smiled and rushed over to Kade and she jumped into my arms. I kissed her cheek and looked at Miley. She was grinning from ear to ear. Suddenly the doctor walked in. Her procedure will start. She needs to be laying on the cot. I nodded and set my daughter on the cot and placed the thin sheet over her. Youll be asleep okay, Kade? She nodded. The doctors started to wheel her from the room. I was running along side her. One doctor gently released Kades grip on my hand. DADDY! DADDY COME BACK! I couldnt bare to see her yelping for me and Im not doing a damn thing. She continued screaming until they put her to sleep with drugs. I saw as they wheeled her into the emergency operating room. At the same time Miley was leaving too. My heart shattered, shes leaving so soon? Miley stopped to look back at me. She opened her palm and showed me the words written on her soft palm. I love you. I smiled a real and true smile. Miley mirrored the smile back and her ocean eyes gleamed as she walked gracefully from the room. She even made a run down hospital look more glowing with her features...
