This video shows u Lebanon b4 the civil war and during the civil war .... i hope that these unforgettable and cold blooded history where the lebanese betrayed their country, themselves, their families, and God's commands to mankind could be a wake up call for the lebanese nowadays, for them not to fall in the same mistake again....so spare a though for the generation that preceded you, and tasted the real taste of war.

"You have your Lebanon and I have mine.
You have your Lebanon with her problems,
and I have my Lebanon with her beauty.
You have your Lebanon with all her prejudices and struggles,
and I have my Lebanon with all her dreams and securities.
Your Lebanon is a political knot, a national dilemma, a place of conflict and deception.
My Lebanon, is a place of beauty and dreams of enchanting valleys and splendid mountains.
Your Lebanon is inhabited by functionaries, officers, politicians, committees, and factions.
My Lebanon is for peasants, shepherds, young boys and girls, parents and poets.
Your Lebanon is empty and fleeting,
whereas My Lebanon will endure forever" -Gibran Khalil Gibran

  • That war was disgusting and brutal--it should never have happened. What a scar on Lebanon's history.

  • i was born in 1985, but we left lebanon 2 years later due to the killing spree off ALL lebanes people, i grew up in germany, outside any arab community, just because of them, my dad lost a leg and i grew up without a culture, why did it have to be that way, now i immigrated to canada and still iam kept away from my Birth country, its so hard, moving arround the world with no real home... was it worth it, all these wars, did theychange anything. its the fault of all, muslims and christians.

  • blame the west

  • i can see this happening to us here in the Philippines. Even though were predominantly Catholic this can happen to us. call me paranoid, but i have a bad feeling about 5 out of 10 male muslims i encounter having non-muslim wifes. they're having a population burst even in areas not originally inhabited by muslims, like the far north. imagine if they asked for states in whatever provinces they are populous!

  • its funny how they still call it the " lebanese civil war " which is totally false , it should be called by its proper name JIHAD, it was a jihad against all the christians in lebanon nothing else , they thought they could drive out christianity from lebanon , they were dead wrong . karma is a bitch , now they are in war , syria , egypt, libya , iran , saudi all gona get a taste of what they did to lebanon ...

  • @weisstbescheid no just the muslims!

  • @omelabed Basically it's Latin but the phrase bears the same meaning. Anyway I don't deny there has had been much fraction between all those ethnic groups. So much it was easy for external forces to stoke the flames of a fatal conflict within Lebanon. Actually I can recommend to you a short movie named "It's about time Lebanon" also available on YT. It pretty much sums up the futility of war.

  • @karunank1 Brother, I'm not gifted in French.I guess the phrase means " divide & u'll prevail ",right?I comprehend yr arguement, but I agree partially only cos I believe that the source of the problem was between the 18 different Lebanese communal groups who couldn't coexist.

The lack of political, economic,& cultural integration between the 19 Lebanese communal groups was the essence of the problem which unfortunately led to war.

I sympathize with all groups except the Kataeb.

  • @omelabed ever heard of "divida et impera"? Powers with vested interest won't sit idle all the time my friend.

  • @karunank1 So u think that it was Iranians,Iraqis,Syrians,Palestinians,Americans etc who destroyed Lebanon? So according to yr logic, everyone is guilty except the Lebanese eventhu most of the battles was between Lebanese & most of the fighters on the ground were Lebanese? The most violent battles were : the battle for the Mount Leb'n between Druze & Maronites; the war between the Lenanese Forces & Lebanese Army.

  • @christmanpunch U r not informed abt the facts of the civil-war.U degraded the muslims without knowing the facts. The Maronite Christian Phalangists were commited the worst massacres of the war. They murdered children & elderly,& raped women in massacres in Sabra&Shatila,Tal elzaater,Ehdin,El-safra,Karantina etc. They killed more Christians than any other lebanese party. It was them who set up road blocks like thugs,& slaughtered any non-Phalangist even if they were Christian.

  • @Jobided15 Try & read a book called "Death of a Nation" by an author called Sandra Mackey. I'm sure that u can find it in Lebanon. It's an excellent book that gives a perfect view abt the war without being biased.
