As I was going over my bills which were a-mountin
I looked oer at my Jenny, and the coupons she was countin
We heard theYuletide music, its that dreaded time of year:
Its Christmas shopping season, oh the time that we all fear -

Its Christmas in the jar!

Just after Halloween, out come the candy canes and reindeer
In December, on the radio, Christmas tunes are all you can hear
I swear that every season, Christmas shopping comes on quicker
The thing that gets me through it is a jar of Christmas liquor!

Its Christmas in the jar!

Women want their day-spas, their Gucci bags and jewels
And if the men are handy, then we buy them power-tools
The kids all want computers, so much for toys and games
The greed out in the marketplace would put old Scrooge to shame

Its Christmas in the jar!

Your cash on hand will vanish by halfway through the season
So pull out your credit cards, go into debt beyond all reason
I should become a charity with a bell and a red bucket
But think Id rather take the whole dang season and say
SKIP IT!...
