  • Sounds like In The Arms Of Rain is playing in the background.

  • @BassVirtual what are you talking about dude. Venus Doom and Dark Light went two complete different directions. Dark Light was their mainstream attempt and Venus Doom is back to their rugged brilliant music. Their early and mid albums were the non mainstream albums actually...

  • @zablujnc you and me think exactly the same about HIM :P

  • @magikman38 I didn't find Dark Light to sound very "mainstream"... it wasn't poppy in the slightest - compare Deep Shadows. Anyway, it was just my opinion, it's not going to change just because I now know the "band's intentions".

  • I LOVE SCREAMWORKS!!

  • No, NOT all the fans want Razorblade Romance again. NO fucking way. I want more like Venus Doom and Dark Light, actually... their early-to-mid period mainstream shit is their worst stuff! It's so fucking simplistic! I still love a lot of it though, as well as the new album (some songs aren't so good though).

  • The Cult are a rock band.

  • Producers have had a massive role in shaping HIM's sound, I'd say.

  • Well... one thing I always liked about him is that I could as one relate to EVERY single song they ever made... old or new, they never stop to amaze me with that....

Well yes I had that impression to at first, but then I listened to the album some 30 times and the diferences between songs become quite apparent. That's another thing I like about HIM, the more you listen to them, the better it gets.

  • @zablujnc I agree....especially this time around. Ville seems very optimistic and proud of this album.

I think it's great, one negative aspect I noticed today, all the songs very similar....
