Phil's Sr. & Jr. ingest a Bhut Jolokia (Capsicum Chinense) pepper. Truly one of the HOTTEST peppers I have EVER encountered thus far.
I changed the title to this video because as I discussed the pepper with Jim Duffy of Refining Fire Chiles in southern California he said it didn't look like a 7 Pot. As I got to looking closer - and compared it to pictures of SuperHots....I saw Bhut Jolokia. I had a plant marker that was faded and misread it initially.
Sorry for the error. Still learning Chile farming and have LOTS to learn yet.
This pepper had a mild fruity flavor compared to Habanero, HabaNaga, and other more fruity peppers. The flavor was dwarfed almost immediately by major BURN. The intensity was such that I was almost speechless....and for me, that's not very often. HA! LOL
The burn itself was mostly 'stingy' rather then dull, if that makes sense. Like a mouthful of needles! :/
Overall it's a good one for drying, making into powder, and mixing into pots of Chili, and other larger pots of food. I am telling you...a lil goes a LONG way! Be careful with this pepper!
Special note:
4 hours later it kicked me (Phil Sr.) in the gut AGAIN! The pain was moderate and lasted about 20 minutes. It finally subsided and I was fine after that. ;)
Please feel free to give a 'like' to our video. We'd really like that. Cheers, all! :D
Great job on the review..glad the raiders beat the jets.

What did the kid do to his paw? Again you guy's do just a great job, even if it is one of the hottest peppers on earth. I tried a Lemon Drop pepper last week at a buddy's house, now that was a hot mother, but sweet with a faint lemon taste. You did good this time dad, just as good as junior.
