@xaxie1 He's the white hero! Just like in Dances with Wolves! And who knows how many other movies. But seriously, Yojimbo could be set at the very end of the samurai era, in the 1860's, when revolvers were available and Japan was open to foreigners.

I have, it is horrible, too cliched and no respect to the samurai, just an action movie.
I mean cmon, Tom is the only survivor?

@xaxie1 samurai as depicted in a lot of these films existed well up to the ww2 era. watch the last samurai about the era.. movie with tom cruise in it

I like listening to his friend and daughter.....but listening to some of these fellow directors is.....they are so filmy & wet. lol.
