Oscar taped and performed with Jimmy at the Tutor House in Lake Arrowhead, California around late 1987. Jimmy gave Oscar his first bird head puppet that became Bernie. Jimmy was a great ventriloquist who gave Oscar pointers helping him with his act. Read e-Book, "Sometimes You Gotta' Kicka' Cab!" at Oscar and Bernie dot com. Jimmy is no longer with us and this is Oscar's tribute to Jimmy.

  • Jeff Dunham told me about Jimmy's passing in Youngstown, Ohio probably in 2000 at the Funny Farm comedy club. Jimmy and his wife and stepson lived with me in Vegas for a while in 1987, and he gave me the first puppet head for Bernie, I had the body but a funky head on him. After '88, I saw him one other time at the Catch a Rising Star in Vegas at Bally's, early '91, I guess. We performed together at the TudorHouse in Lake Arrowhead, Ca. part of the video is from there. His mom n law lived there

  • He was a an awesome performer. My parents were his promotional agents, at one time. When performed with Roy Clayborn American Country Band.

  • Thank you for the video, I just heard about Jimmy's death yesterday, I knew him in high school but lost track. Is there any more information available about his life?

  • Yes, thanks for posting! I also knew Jimmy as a kid - we walked to school together every morning. He used to make me laugh until I cried. Hearing his voice and watching his gestures in this video (he still looks and acts just like he did in fourth grade) brought the memories rushing back. I was so, so sorry to hear about his death.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I knew Jimmy as a kid with his first Max, so then seeing this was a real treat. Just sad that he died so young...
