GEORGE & LEO: Jason Bateman is Ted Stoody in this sitcom starring Bob Newhart & Judd Hirsch as widely divergent men who become in-laws when their children get married.
Starring: Bob Newhart (George Stoody), Judd Hirsch (Leo Wagonman), Jason Bateman (Ted Stoody), Bess Meyer (Casey Wagonman), Jason Beghe (Ron) & Darryl Thierse (Ambrose).

"PILOT": (09/15/97) Pt. 1
Ted decides to give Casey, his bride-to-be, a surprise wedding gift - a reunion with her long-lost father, Leo. The thing is she can barely stand him and Leo, a former hoodlum, has a hit out on him.

I just noticed the font for the credits is the same as the "Everybody Loves Raymond" font.

I hope this gets put on dvd eventually-- this was such a great show! Newhart & Hirsch made such a great comic "odd couple"!

Wow, I love Bob Newhart and watch reruns of his shows every chance I get, but until I found this on YouTube, I never saw or heard of it. It's Funny! Thanks for uploading it. How long did this show last? - and are there any more that you can upload? Cheers!

According to Bob Newhart's book, he stated that the show was titled "George and Leo" because Bob's given name was George. (He titled it for his own personal superstitious reasons.) He stated that "there were some funny bits, but the show never rose to a consistent level." I liked this show; it's too bad it wasn't given time to develop.

Can you buy George and Leo on DVD? I tried to search for it online to no avail.

Other than bootleg releases, I don't think it's available. If it were, I would never have posted it on youtube. I wouldn't want to deter from any potential earnings for people connected with the show.

@gaiaquest1 I put up a couple of eps GEORGE & LEO and CHICAGO SONS, not SIMON. I don't know if Chazz did however. I don't think so though.
