A few years back it snowed every day in March in the Sierra (run off that feeds this river). I went in early June. There was so much flow that every rapid was graded a class higher. We had a rookie guide.,..ssssooooo right at the entrance first wave/drop we rolled into the rocky bank on the right and the whole left side of the boat got dumped. The raft came back down on top of me and I got shot out and swam the WHOLE rapid. One of the scariest experiences of my life but I have a great story now.
