This is a recording of me navigating a four-dimensional maze using John McIntosh's Java 4d Maze program.

It can be found here: http://www.urticator.net/maze/

You can move in additional direction at right angles to the traditional directions of forward, back, right, left, up and down.

This program can also generate traditional 2D and 3D mazes that you can walk through.

I recorded this mainly to familiarize myself with CamStudio and Virtualdub for a Blender tutorial I hope to be working on soon.

  • @pyropal000 Very true, 2D mazes are simple because you only have to follow two dimensions spacially, and it's easy to know your direction, a 3D maze gets even harder, then going all the way to a 4D maze just makes things even more challenging, trying to spacially figure out where you are, where you've been, and where you want to go. Not to mention the fact that we are barely able to imagine and comprehend a 4D space! XD As I was playing I was trying to make sense of it in 3D as well lmao

  • My mind, it bleeds...

  • I beat this!!! This is one of the hardest mazes ever built, especially if you turn off align mode and only move halfway in the fourth dimension :p

  • @jacksobrooks you're argument is invalid. kaythkxbai

  • @Gonzaga78 yes it is. you are wrong. thanks bai

  • @Gonzaga78 yes watch a 30 year old clip for information on a topic that we are still learning new things about.

  • I remember my first acid trip.

  • WHAT IS THIS I DONT EVEN HOW DO YOU WIN?

    LIKE, WHAT EVEN IS THIS?

  • @Gonzaga78 watch Flatland. it explains dimentions in an interesting way.

  • Wow I wanna play to! I think I know how it works xD but wow in every one of those 2 lines is a other section with more lines in the cube that's almost like 3d dimention's choices x2 O.o It's gotta be one challenging game.
