people who are worried about getting blur from a lens dont deserve this lens. seriously, if you cant understand light and shutter speed, you dont deserve a godly lens like this...

@BX0207 Umm not really. The L beats the 1.4 in every aspect pretty much. Build Quality, Color Rendition, Bokeh, and sharpness. The only thing is that its overpriced at $1600. Nevertheless, its Canon's best fast 50.

Dam dragging on with the review.. This is horrible..theres more HUH than anything else.. And did you know that the 50 f/1.4 smokes this L piece of crap..smokes it out of the water..

I had 50 1.4 and it was kinda excellent. Compared to that 1.8 is rubbish and then again, compared to 1.2, 1.4 is rubbish.

@gonetoworkbbackin5mi I eventually did get the 85 also and I made the right choice getting the 50 first. The 85 is a very niche portrait only lens.
