Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans work differently from conventional fans. They use Air Multiplier™ technology to draw in air and amplify it -- from 15 to 18 times, depending on the model. With no blades or grille, they're safe and easy to clean. And they produce an uninterrupted stream of smooth air, with no unpleasant buffeting. Find out more http://www.dyson.com/store/fans.asp

  • LMAO. $500 for this trash?

If you have $500 for a fan, buy a damn air-conditioner that actually cools down the entire room.

  • Bladed fans do NOT cause "unsettling buffeting". They work just as well as this "hula hoop" but are much more affordable.

  • Funny they chose to sell if for some ~$500. I'm dead sure if they were to drop the price to $50 (pretty sure it costs barely $10 to make) the thing would sell like hot pancakes, 'cause it's a cool idea. But not half a thousand dollars kind of cool. Hell, one could get their vacuum cleaner for less which is an infinitely more useful thing than a fancy fan.

  • @Rohoax well that answers my question about strength

  • Wasn't the 'bladeless fan' created 30 years ago by Tokyo based Shibaura Electric? This is not a unique idea just like the hand-drier which Mitsubishi was making years before.

  • And the name was DYSON hmm. I dont believe in coincidences. You dont fool me!

  • So you can push air now without a big rotor and more constantly like a rotor does ... lets say ... like a helicopter rotor? you know you could built a skynet like flying saucer with this technique?

Even if YOU dont, skynet will!

    way to pioneer their lordship.

  • I didn't mean to say airblade I was just thinking at the same time about fan blades

  • @dysonteam hi I just wanted to say that you should look into advertising towards the marijuana industry I'm America. I have one of your airblades in my garden and I never have to worry about it damaging plants. It also makes my grow room completely silent. AMAZING!!!!

  • dyson is seriously soo goood.... so smart engineers you got there.
