Stephen J. Dubner is an award-winning author and journalist who lives in New York City. He is the co-author, with Steven D. Levitt, of Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything. He is also the author of Turbulent Souls: A Catholic Son's Return to His Jewish Family (1998), Confessions of a Hero-Worshiper (2003), and a children's book, The Boy With Two Belly Buttons (2007).

Steve Levitt is the William B. Ogden Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago, where he directs the Becker Center on Chicago Price Theory.

Levitt received his BA from Harvard University in 1989 and his PhD from MIT in 1994. He has taught at Chicago since 1997. In 2004, Levitt was awarded the John Bates Clark Medal, awarded to the most influential economist under the age of 40. In 2006, he was named one of Time magazine's "100 People Who Shape Our World."

This year did the sun have very few "sunspots" (I believe its called in English), this winter was really cold here in Europe too, I assume they might have something to do with each other, since some scientists that does not say the debate is over, says that the climate change might be regulated by the suns activity.. I have a good link for it. Anyways, am I hearing a lot of crony stuff about the global warming etc. I say its not worth it..(going green).

@GJonathanWIII WTF are you talking about? Scientists caught up in Gore's story? Science has been studying this much longer than Gore has known about it. Science is what shows there is a direct link between CO2 and warming. Gore has nothing to do with it ... other than as a talking head who makes mistakes. How many of the 30,000 scientists you reference are climate scientists?

Economists should be economists and not physicists. One economist discovered a few years ago, after much research, that there is no return on energy. In other words, there was no process you could use where you put in X amount of energy and got more than X energy out.

Physicists call this the First Law of Thermodynamics, and discovered it a few hundred years ago.

al gore did bring to light the warming issue but then immediately attached the co2 as the cause. it was never debated and we listen to scientists who have no expertise in climate or solar activity who are caught up in gore's story. meanwhile no one hears about how 30,000 scientists have filed suit against gore over this lie nor that gore has made made well over a $100 million off of everyone's carbon guilt and government contracts to green companies that he owns. the debate ended before it began

This whole scam is for a few to rob the masses some more, that's all this is, these "elites' have info, knowing there would be a change and they "are not letting an opportunity slip by".
