Since "Do I Disappoint You" is definitely the most operatic song on the album, I was curious to see how Rufus and the band would pull it off without a full orchestra. So how did they do? FANTASTICALLY! And then he crooned his way through a delightful rendition of "A Foggy Day" from the Judy Garland shows. Magnificent!
How this song has gone relatively unnoticed I can't figure. It opens the album but, then, the entire album is sheer revelation. If only he could do some lousy songs to make the great ones stand out. Alas, he doesn't do lousy. I forgive him.

I've seen Rufus live 4-5 times now, but NEVER looking so fetching as in his lederhosen!
;-)
His voice is gorgeous.
