This is why people fought to the death for tickets to be in the live audience; they got entertainment that the home viewers never imagined.  Heck, the stuff that got on the telly show was funny enough, but this clowning around before taping was legendary.

In the episode that aired, Vicki starts out by saying: "I think someone blew out your pilot light, Eunice." Carol follows up with: "That's a new one, Mama." I guess she knew that Vicki was going on autopilot a la Tim Conway and she couldn't hold back the laughter.
