Releasing a cloud of potassium compounds, The Original DSPA extinguishes flames and disperses a fire within seconds. This proven fire intervention tool can be used in a wide variety of fire scenarios to lower the temperature and knock down flames allowing the fire department to enter, fight the fire effectively, and limit damages, and dangers to themselves.

  • @joek1017 The fire will stay suppressed until the room is vented and the concentration of the aerosol fall below a certain level. At that point re-ignition might occur, but it will only take a fraction of the water to overhaul and extinguish the hot spots.

  • @OnThe23rd The DSPA (Dry Sprinkler Powder Aerosol) works on 3 of the 4 sides of the fire tetrahedron. The potassium molecules will bond with the free radicals or hydroxyls that occur during combustion. This will create a new and stable molecule that cannot combust. Breaking this chemical reaction is one of the main reasons that the temperature drops so quickly. The DSPA-5 will also disrupt the thermal layers, upon activation, while the compounds in the aerosol absorb the heat as well.

  • Wow looks like hell on earth there for a few seconds after it deploys. How does it cool the room so quickly?
