Intel's Craig Barrett says that private companies can't go it alone when trying to make a difference in developing markets, and neither can governments. In a trip to Malaysia, Intel's chairman stopped in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, where the company has committed to help local schools. Barrett, a former professor at Stanford University, is a big believer in education, especially in developing teachers. Barrett also appeared at the 16th World Congress on Information Technology where he delivered a keynote reaffirming his belief that real change can happen when governments and private industry team up.
