John from http://www.discountjuicers.com/ shares with you a returned Omega VRT 330 HD juicer that is claimed to be defective because it makes a pulpy carrot juice. In this video you will hear John discuss expectations before purchasing a juicer and also tests the returned juicer compared to an Omega VRT 350 HD to see if the returned juicer is infact defective or not.

  • Hey John

In your opinion, what are the 5 most overall nutritious vegetables to juice?

  • Tough to say the 5 most overall. According to the Nutrient Density, they are:

    1. Collard, mustard, & turnip greens 1000

    2. Kale 1000

    3. Watercress 1000

    4. Bok choy 824

    5. Spinach 739

That being said, each vegetable has a different nutrient profile, and in my opinion one should always rotate the items they are juicing to ensure they get nutrients from all the available common vegetables (and even uncommon) or unknown vegetables. Dietary Diversity. Also FRESHEST produce is BESTEST

  • I thought the 330HD and the 350HD are the same except for the colors?

  • You are correct. They are IDENTICAL except for the color.

  • John, thank you for all of your great videos and sharing your wealth of knowledge! You ahve a wonderful spirit. I would like to ask you two questions. 1) You've referenced your life style change after facing serious illness in the past, was there a particular juicer that helped you facilitate that change? 2) I'm sure you've discussed it before, but could you speak to the juicing versus blending debate? I was thinking of getting both I want to take command of my health and start my life over.

  • 1. When I first made my lifestyle change, I used the Juiceman 2 Juicer, which is no longer available. That being said, I know alot more now about juicers, and would recommend one of the juicers as shown in this video:

that provide you with the most flexibility if you want to make a lifestyle change (vs just juice)

  • John, you should sell those strainers and the pyrex on your website. Maybe even as a combo! I have used strainers in combination with measuring cups for years, but I have never found a combo that fit so well together! Also, that size of measuring cup is great as a catchment cup for the juicers. I'll bet a lot of people would be interested in a setup like that.
