Paying attention to details is critical. You did a great job of specifying some of the critical details.

What is the minimum moderate size curves that Kadee body mounted couplers can be used on as I am thinking about converting my rolling stock to these along with roller bearing trucks
DobbaHenderson 1 year ago
@DobbaHenderson They can take pretty sharp curves. I was able to traverse 5 ft radius S curves with 80 ft passenger cars without a problem, but I would not have tried anything sharper than that. Of course, with shorter cars you can handle sharper curves, but I doubt that you could get through a 2 ft radius S curve with a 40 ft car or loco.

Steve to build a small ladder yard (3-5 tracks) what size switches would you recommend to do switching with cars equipped with kadee couplers? Do you have any videos to post of you doing the switching operations you host?
DobbaHenderson 1 year ago
@DobbaHenderson For pushing a string of cars in switching operations you want to use as large a switch as possible. My minimum is #6 and #8 where I have room. No I have not posted any videos operations, but I have been informally planning one for quite some time. No sure when I will get around to shooting the footage and doing the editing. Maybe will get something out in a few months.
