@1985ManuelB My computer and several others have agreed that the exchange sac was correct.

@xxxIronLeexxx It's a lot more fun to play with a real board and pieces. Just like one would probably prefer to play card games with real cards and not via a computer.
-
All chess tournaments should be played on computers, let alone this ridiculous wooden analysis board.
-
@RuudJH Fuck that. It's not 1850.
-
@andrewh817 What he probably meant was imbalances (knight for pawns, queen for minors, rook against pieces and so on - or, as here, rook against bishop), and there he is very right. even though comp have become much better in that regard material imbalance is still the most difficult thing for them to analyse.

@stevenash13beast They're not bad at calculating dynamics, because dynamics only apply to humans. They don't analyze the complexity of a position, only thousands of variations to find the objectively best move.

@1985ManuelB yes it did seem premature but in retrospect it's as if he saw the entire game unfold when he played it and you can't argue w/ success -look at how he gradually improves n consolidates his position while white came apart at the seams, hopelessly uncoordinated when the last blows are struck
textbook example of pure positional play -a stunningly beautiful game n the fact that his opponent was Anish Giri, a fellow Super GM, immortalises it
has to win the brilliancy prize

nice game nice guy,nothing more to add

@rooksman64 i want to see him play carlsen for the wc!
-
@patrickJMT I wanna see him battle Anand again
I really like the way Aronian comments on his games. Differently from the others, he picks up the right words, does not fret, speaks calmly and makes everything perfectly understandable to anyone. I hope he wins!

I really like this display board. It shows the essence of the chess game, which is basically a game with wooden pieces, not software on a computer. I hope they stick to this way. Even if they occasionally drop a piece of wood, it still works fine
