Chantix Review

My Review of the smoking cessation drug, Chantix. notice the Elvis pic behind me,... yea, thats cause i got the whole Elvis lip thing goin on! haha

but in all seriousness, Chantix worked for me when nothing else did. As with any drug, know the risks, and talk to your doctor!

hey so I got a question. Can I get away with just getting the starter pack? I don't want to pay for the starter pack and the continuing thing as well. Way to expensive. so is there 2 weeks worth of it in one single pack I can buy??? I have the perscription but it isn't for anything in particular just chantix and they want to know which one I want. My insurance wont pay for it so I have to myself and can't pay $400 for it.

@BackStageCowboy i'm pretty sure the script is for the "standard" starter pack which (if taken as directed) will be for 4 weeks. but u'll have to work that out/verify that w/ you pharmacist or doctor. as for the cost, i know this may not be much consolation for the short term, but since the 2 years not smoking, i've saved way over $400

@chocara1 dont sweat it! remember the first week you still can smoke. before you know it it will just taste bad and you'll realize it (the ciggs) doesnt do anything for you. if you want it bad enough, you can do it!

@chocara1 right on! see, told ya! now you are "conditioned" to associate that w/ smoking and not the false "pleasure". what its done is slowly weened you off the nicotine (the addictive drug) and now the last hurtle is the "quit day". on that day (the 8th day on chantix) i didn't "need" a cigg at all, i just had the mental thing goin on like when you were a kid and u wanted a cookie but mom said no lol.

2 months into me taking chantix and the cravings stop. Keep it up. It gets easier.
