So how can you tell if they had an infection.

you'll see the signs. She had mouth rot so she wasn't eating or drinking, was getting sluggish, and you could see it devolping around her mouth. Type in your iguana's symptoms online and tons of info will come up on what it has.

@happygolucky18 that could be from not giving her soft enough food cause if there always eating hard foods that aren't fine enough it causes there gums to bleed

@Samimiamiv1 I never gave her anything she couldn't eat. She's now lives with a vet who was able to nurse her back to health so she's happy.

she was doing great after getting it removed for about two and a half years! but i just gave her away a few days ago to a vet. edward got really sick with mouth rot, and had an upper respitory infection and had some other stuff wrong with her that just came on all of a sudden. :( i couldn't treat her at home, couldn't afford a vet, or a payment plan to take her to the vet. A friend of mine found a lady that would take good care of her, and she's a vet. she sent pics & eddie is getting better! :)
