Shin Megami Tensei games beat any FF anytime. I liked the first few FF games but Shin Megami Tensei always looked badass. Exccept for the Persona 3 and 4. Persona 2 Innocent Sin keeps being my favourite.

why the hell isn't these kind of kick ass games on TV instead of fucking Mario! don't get me wrong i love Mario as much as the next guy but come on! there's like fifty ads of Mario on TV now put a fucking Atlus game damn it!

Definitely one of the best JRPGs I've ever played. The main protagonist kicks ass, the demons kick ass, the story kicks ass, and the battle system kicks ass. Too bad this game isn't as popular as Persona 3 and 4, which are far behind, as in my opinion.

@nightpwner Anyone that has played a JRPG knows and respects how Square made the genre popular all over the world.
But I wasn't even talking about that, I am talking about my opinion when it comes to these two franchises. Everything from the Storyline, Art Direction, SImple yet hard to master Gameplay, etc. All of that make this game just perfect for me.

@paulman34340 I hope it is the first 2. The first 2 games are my favorite because Masuko composed them. I happen to like all of the games that he did for Atlus and for the Shin Megami Tensei series along with Hideto Aoki before Shoji Meguro took over.
The only sound track I liked from Shoji Meguro was Strange Journey.

I like how in Nocturne the main character just never gives a fuck. He fights anything in his way for no reason. The Matador shows up and is like, "You are a fiend like me! Let us have a duel!" The Maincharacter isn't like, "Woah Woah, let's talk this out." he says, "..." and murders him relentlessly.
