The person who is asking question does not speak Punjabi well, so he asks the questions in English and they answer in Punjabi- seems like the smiling before the answering is about that. To listen to two of their broadcasts from the Golden temple copy and paste the following in the search function of youtube

These Singh are from the raagi jatha called "Chardikala Jatha.".Their kirtan is sometimes broadcasted from the Golden Temple.They speak perfect Punjabi. With "shudh", the pure and the correct, pronunciation of each word-- otherwise they would not have been allowed to do kirtan at the Golden Temple ( I don't think that they have the regular 'Hazoori Raagi' status. As do not see their name on the regular duty roster)
