okay, not to sound too defensive or anything, but here's the real score on this video:

our professor discouraged us to create a storyline that's a literal interpretation of the song we choose to make a music vid of. i know this song was about david's brother (Adam, right?) the moment i first heard it, and being a good little boy obeying his professor, i made my own story which is still in tune with the song's feeling.

but i do appreciate all the comments you guys have sent.

And to everyone who's bitching about the song's meaning, David (like any good songwriter) writes his songs so that they can be interpreted in a variety of ways, for different people. This allows for more people to relate to his songs in the way they choose.
