  • That was absolutely SUPERB!!

  • what the hell is the modern ear? :P obviously you like the changes in tempo, but that doesn't mean that someone who doesnt like the changes isn't modern enough. Fact is that this conductor chose not to follow the original transcript, and you can like it or not, and thats all!

  • the conductor is admiral ackbar form star wars..isnt he?

  • 1:14 Manny Pacquiao really IS multi-talented!

  • I love how all of the violinists use EXACTLY the same amount of bow. Amazing.

  • wow i like this better than other versions

  • Brilliant!!! amazingly synchronized and powerful rendering ... way more enjoyable than most of the other postings of this piece ,,,, specially Karajan's

  • what an awesome little guy is that conductor:P he reminds me somewhat of a gnome

  • hooray for the all female cello section 8D!

  • @MahlerTitan I've listened to rather a lot of recordings of this piece and the section at 4:40 is like that in every one of them. Now this means it is meant to be like this or it means that its a really bad bit for the 'cellos and they almost always get it wrong.
