The man behind such iconic theme music as "Pee-wee's Big Adventure", "The Simpsons", and countless Tim Burton flicks, Danny Elfman sits down with us and dishes on how he went from '80s new wave band Oingo Boingo to one of the most respected composers in the biz. He also discusses his and Tim Burton's 25th anniversary box set and offers advice to up-and-coming musicians. Hosted by Tatiana Diana.

  • We can't even begin to describe how amazing this man is. What project do you think he'll be working on next?

  • I remember seeing BATMAN in the theaters when I was a kid. It was the first time I really acknowledged how music sets the mood for a film. From that day on Ive always payed close attention to a movie soundtrack. Now I find myself scoring my first independent film. No matter how it plays out, good or bad, my hat goes off to this man. He has inspired me to test the waters of film composing.

  • The scores are ok, nothing particularly memorable, but pales next to his work with Oingo Boingo. Sometimes I think it irritates him that he is still more remembered for that.

  • @2vsU *snort*! I'd take just takeout, if they'd actually pay for it!

  • @ladyssnape sure, for only a night. then they become too obnoxious to keep around. unless they make really great dinners. then if thats the case, who cares at that point.

  • @2vsU the pathetic thing about that statement, is the fact that most manly men find that attitude extremely sexy.

  • @gee3x You know, he's not scoring The Hunger Games anymore. He backed out to help Tim Burton with a new project. Kinda disappointing; Danny's scoring entices me to watch a lot of films I wouldn't ordinarily watch. Like The Hunger Games, for example.

  • She seems like an airhead.

  • ,,,, He seems so gay its kinda cute =D

  • he's still so sexy and badass!! I love this man, he is brilliant

  • I'm so glad he's scoring the Hunger Games!
