Enjoy a cockpit view of landing at one of the shortest commercial airstrips in the world: Saba's vulcanic mini-396 meter runway at Yrasquin Airport.
Airplane is a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter.
Airport code: (IATA: SAB, ICAO: TNCS)

I visited Saba in `92. Some people in the plane started to cry when they saw the landing strip.

You are totally wrong. The airplane SHOULD be in a complete stall by the time the main landing gear touches the ground as stated in the FAA airplane flying handbook, in Chapter 8. This landing was near perfect and could not have been done any better, especially on a short field.

i love airplane landings where half the passengers are praying to Jesus and Mary and making the sign of the cross. When the Saba twin otter finally lands, all the passengers applaud, and the co-pilot turns around and takes a little bow.
I would pay $50 extra to make the Saba landing.

With FSX I landed a C172 full flaps and full throttle there. I would like to show you my "performance" I recorded"
I would never tried that in real life even if II always liked to land in challenging places.

I virtually pushed my luck in FSX landing there a C172 full flaps and full trottle.
I would not try that in real life.

I am well aware of the fact that he was not stalled. I never said he was. As described by the FAA, an ideal landing would be that the aircraft is completely stalled during the point at which the wheels make contact with the ground. Being a flight instructor myself, I know the difficulties surrounding that statement. I think we can all agree that this was an incredible landing by an experienced pilot.
