Hey everyone, one again, I'm back. This time, we find ourselves back at the beginning of the game because of stupid old me. However, do not fear, for our new character is one to be feared...

  • Baldur's gate II is a lot better.

The single player campaign was a HUGE let down. No party customization, limited commands (for party members). And an extremely boring story line. It's too bad this game has so much content. It's still a fun game though.

  • You have a point. However, NWN's major selling points were multiplayer and an extremely open sourced toolset. Baldur's Gate is MUCH better in terms of single player and it has an amazing story. However, pretty much if you wanted to make an online community, Neverwinter Nights is the better option because of its superior online support and toolset.

Perhaps I will have to show off Baldur's Gate on a later date, when I have a greater understanding of AD&D rules. Anyway, thanks for commenting. ;)

  • What's that number in the upper left corner?

  • Yeah, it's to measure frame rate in Fraps. However, I am most likely not going to use Fraps anymore because the videos it saves are huge and I need a good program and codec that can compress them. Windows Movie Maker could work, but I prefer not to use a lot Windows stuff considering a lot of it sucks. :(

  • Plus it doesn't feel anything like NWN anymore. The UI sucks, I just dont like it. And there are no portraits anymore! They left so many things out and made it much more MMO like. WHY does EVERY RPG have to become an MMO (or MMO-like)? Well I stick with NWN1.

  • @jimboododude I totally agree with you, NWN2 disappointed me in many ways. Sounds are swapped, most of the animations look strange, there are less animations (they use one animation for the idle stance and fight stance for each weapon, wtf?), for example in fighting. There is just one swing animation for every weapon and the characters just stay at the same position all the time. The Fights got so boring. It's sad that NWN never got a good sequel.

  • i recommend not to click the recommend button XD

  • @windson7 On NWN 2 there is, on this one... nope. The only thing that this game needs in MY Opinion, is Warlock class, but it's on NWN 2 not this one.

  • I've never used a spellcast class because every single spell i have to wait to recharge and i have a spellcast limit -_-. is there a class which can spellcast spells with no limit?

  • Panther is a waste of time. "Help" during combat sucks up xp. The pixie is the way to go, since you have a "Summon rogue" spell that can remove traps, pick locks, and even casts improved invisibility, and it's not in the party for xp calculations.

  • @Seijitsu0 For NWN2, the main campaign is abysmal. Mask of the Betrayer, the first expansion, is so much better that it's not even funny. The engine may still suck, but the story, setting, and characters are much, much better.

  • @velvetsims It's unlikely you'd enjoy it then...

  • i have the game but im not paitiant enough to wait for the 4 DISKS TO INSTALL!!!
