Panasonic SDR-S70 Camera

The optical zoom on this camera is very high indeed - if you can hold the camera steady - this shows how well the camera works on the moon so have a look using the highest resolution your download speed will allow.
You can get better quality from other video cameras but for £100 this is a good all-rounder that will takes the odd bash and knock from sports or the kids -There is only one problem with this camera and that's the still picture rez (640 x 480 only) which lets the camera down big time but if its just simple video your after this is a fair camera. I will be trying out a HD camera shortly and will again do a simple test for you to see...

the camcorder brings a internal memory? (not SD Card)

@xTYKOOO In reply to you - NO internal memory in the camera - but why would you want that!

The camera stores video and stills on the SSD card and you can just remove the card from the camera and insert into a computer card reader and its then read it like a disc drive. Simple.

If you take loads of video just fill up a card then insert another card - 2 hours of video from an 8Gb card. Still recon the camera is great value against the HD version....

If you wanted to film something between say 1 hour and up, would you need a big memory card and if so how big would you need it to be?

@EmmasChannelUK The camera is not HD so an 8Gb SSD card will give you one hour and 53 minutes of filming time. I mess about a lot with this camera but I tend to do lots of short clips then edit them together so I have never got close to using all of the 8Gb card.

If you are concerned buy a few SSD cards then you can use them as needed.

I have been using this camera for some time now and if you check out the newer postings on my channel you will see how it performs - Hope this helps you.

@gumballgafatap - The still pictures taken with the Panasonic S70 does let it down as an all rounder (unlike my old Sanyo Xacti C40 which was (still is) a good all rounder in my opinion with far better still pictures) - To be fair to the Panasonic it is a video camera and sold as this.

Because of my poor broadband upload speed I did NOT go for an HD camera so perhaps its not fair to this model - as for the video picture quality of the S70 - your looking at it on YouTube!
