How the west was Won (1962) Trailer http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056085/ Directors: John Ford, Henry Hathaway, George Marshall Carroll Baker, Lee J. Cobb, Carolyn Jones, Karl Malden, Gregory Peck, Henry Fonda, James Stewart, John Wayne, Eli Wallach
Saw this as a little kid in a big Cinerama theater. It was a pretty big deal back then. We had an album of the music...and there was a large hardcover book of photos you could buy in the lobby as a souvenier. I saw one for sale on E-bay last year....
This looks impressive, even if its no longer on the Cinerama...Don't know if I'll like it though but by the trailer looks like an all-time great even if it is biased as I don't know what.
I'm a huge Louis L'Amour fan, and How the West Was Won was the very first book of his I read. I always thought it was his best book, and just minutes ago I found out it was made into a movie. I am so excited.
Because of this classic Cinerama movie, Legends Carroll Baker and Debbie Reynolds became close friends for life. Beautiful...
