The Rev. Matthew Moretz, Episcopal priest, sings a lullaby to his friend, Beauregard.
"Father Matthew Presents" is an online video series produced by an Episcopal priest since 2006. The series presents the treasures of Christianity on video at a time. "Be Thou My Vision" is one of my favorite hymns. This time, it is with a twist! www.fathermatthewpresents.org

  • Lord have mercy, what heretic. Archbishop Thomas Cramer, Bishops Ridley and Latimer, founders of Church of England and, therefore of Episcopal Church, They spin in his grave, on hearing this blasphemy brought by this heretic priest to the Protestant tradition followed by Anglican and Episcopalian church.

  • @reverendclaurarau Wait. They know how to spin? You're right. I bet they'd be great DJ's too!

  • @FatherMatthew Lord have mercy on your soul.

  • @reverendclaurarau I'm just saying. Lighten up a bit. You know that NONE of the text I sang and rapped was heretical. It is all from orthodox hymnody. This is not blasphemy. Nor is it sinful. This is an aesthetic choice that has no bearing on the Christ-like quality of the hymns. If you cast out me over this, I hope others are not victims of such behavior. May the peace of Christ be with you.

  • through this I have called a heretic, for you promote heresy.contemporary worship contemporary music so-called Christian is a heresy and a blasphemy against God. Can not come before God with what come before the world. Do you remember the episode of Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu in Leviticus? why was they killed by God?

  • tomorrow when the young of your parish will reject the true worship that is find in the Episcopal Church and will come with contemporary worship (Christian rok , Christian rap, and more). You will not have any words before them that they will tell you.Father Matthew have not you posted on youtube that rap song?

  • and this is heresy and blasphemy, because before God you can not anyway and any. But with what God has commanded us in Scripture and as He commanded us. Therefore you can not say that rap music is a sacred music dedicated to God, rap contrary get urges to rebellion against any authority, and implicitly against the divine authority of God.

  • @FatherMatthew I did not say anything bad about the hymn text,I agree with you that is an Orthodox hymn every respect. It is a masterpiece of orthodox Protestant Christianity and beyond.I do not agree with how you played, for through this you, a Protestant priest and pastor You said that before God you can come up with anything (I mean worship). through this you who use real worship attested by the Bible and history, say that contemporary worship is good and acceptable before God

  • Awe.Some.

  • Many years ago my mother was a Spanish teacher and used that monkey puppet in her classes (she named him Bravo Bravissimo). Regina and Beauregard are amazing as well... and of course, Father Matthew.
