http://bloodiedglory.blogspot.com - Read my new blog, Bloodied Glory - epic fantasy based on ancient history.
Please read this video description so I don't get any more stupid questions.
Please watch in HQ.
This is a film about the Janissaries of the Ottoman Empire - how they fought and how they were destroyed.
This is my best video so far (IMO), and I've tried to use more advanced editing and historical detail to make it more interesting, as well as features such as pathetic fallacy.
Ratings and comments are hugely appreciated, and I will answer any questions you have. Refer to my profile for personal information and specifications.
The music for this video is the Crimson Tide soundtrack, by Hans Zimmer, a fantastic composer.
If you download this, under no circumstances are you to upload it anywhere else without my expressed permission.

As a Pole, I really like to see Muscovites killing by Turkeys... :D.
Ottoman Empire was the only state which doesn't accepted the Partitions Of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and when Poland was wiped out from maps, every Sultan's meeting with foreign embassors was started with sentence "Embassador of Lehistan (Poland) didn't came yet, beacause he was stopped by important problems".

@NKVism3 those horses were gift of ottoman shah to britain. ofcourse english have made a mix of these horses. and still english horse needs to be mixed with turkoman horses, in order to create better english horse. yet none of them cant be good as pure akhal-teke in turkmenia now
and i found something that u know nothing about turks, nothin about ottomans. plz read alittle before u comment. prejudice is something stupid :) all u do is showing urself proud, rude & not intellectual enough to talk2

@NKVism3 main ottoman army was not janissaries. janissary is only palace guard, man at arms of shahs himself. there was a time when janissaries were only 1/10 of whole army
the reason of taking nonmuslim children was to prevent corruption, assasination, create better soldier with best dicipline of time. and when nonmuslim were not enough they started to take children with families, corruption started, bad leaders lost wars, took their own relatives to corps and even killed shahs himself...

@NKVism3 u r wrong. janissaries were taken as ONLY ORPHAN nonmuslim children at first. later, troops were not enough, they asked parents if they give their children for army, esspecially jews were willing bcz u can be diplomat, a minister, arthitecturer, engineer if u are clever. if u r strong, u become shahs body guard. surely u would be a farmer and die with ur pigs, while those children were learning maths, astrology&many more
and a janissary not allowed to carry sword till 24-25 year old

Yunun Ceri: "Ionian Soldier".
Being abducted from your family, learning to kill at 7 yrs. old, hashish, multiple buttrapes, getting flogged and expoed to the elements, THESE were the facts of their existence. To hell with the Seljuk gookturk empire.
