A great cover version of the classic song by Buddy Holly here by Status Quo Featuring Brian May from Queen. Live in concert from the 'Don't Stop' tour and album of same name in 1996. Enjoy!

  • This is a great cover, the guys run this Album down but i loved most of it.

  • @tanx54 I agree! Thanks for watching

  • Great video, but I wish the sound was of the actual concert in the video. :-(

  • The sound is from the concert as this was recorded from the concert that was shown late one night on Itv. However i know what you mean. It sounds like it could have been overdubbed or something? I don't think they would have done this? surely they all to good!

  • @Riggleman81 ............. I was at the video recording at Brixton Academy, it was all mimed ......... Sorry to shatter any illusions ;-), there was a live bit at the end where they did FBI, but bit has never surfaced yet

  • I've been a guitarist for over 30 years & I've worshiped them all: Beck, Hendrix, Van Halen, SRV, Rory Gallagher etc but none (in my opinion) has had what Brian May has. His style, touch, tone & ability is the most unique I have ever heard. The man is a guitar genius.

  • Rick said that they wanted to carry on with the style of music they had been doing through the 70's and 80's but there manager made them change there still to this style of musi.

  • it seems to me that the QUO should get some kind of liftime recongnition for the music they've made."Pictures of Matchstick Men" is the only US tune they made a hit with?????since i've got on U-Tube i've seen so much off their stuff and they are just plain rockers.in the US it has been our lose.they have one big time permanent fan who understands the tunes.

  • in 1996 it was a dull period i think for quo with the black suits and that it looked like a sad end to a great band but they come out of this dull era as soon as the whatever you want tour come in status quo are still amazing but i think they may never beat the late 80's to 1995 thats all i think

  • The sound is 100% not from the concert, This is the studio version of the song.

  • Thanks Heap's for the upload..Great Version..Nice and Origional..Thanks again mate!
