@Ladymarmaladeloves You can think of it the other way round. Probbly Madonna is a fan of ABBA herself, so she wanted to include that fantastic melody into her song, so people who didn't know about ABBA would learn about them, because other people would speak about it.
I can't guarantee it but I'm pretty sure Madonna asked for permission, which was granted, and gave credit to ABBA, and probably even payed some royalties. Everybody wins.
