The Munay Tika communal bank is part of the Asociación Arariwa. The group is made up of twelve members, with two sisters and just two men in the group. Many of the members make their living running small grocery stores or selling fruits and vegetables in markets, though some have jobs in other industries as well.

Most of the group members live in Urubamba, a small town that sits at the base of the snow-capped Chicon Mountain, near a number of significant ruins of the Incan Empire. The members of Munay Tika work in various locales in the sacred valley. Some sell their goods in Urubamba, while others work in Oyallantaytambo, a small town twenty minutes from Urubamba where many tourists catch the train to Machu Picchu.

Emiliano, a member of the group, owns a small grocery store but also holds a job in construction. He is 45-years old, married, and has four children. Emiliano now lives with his family in Urubamba, but was born in the region of Quillabamba. He plans to use his Kiva loan to better his grocery store.

The members of Munay Tika will use the loan from Kiva to further their businesses in the grocery sector. All of the members appreciate and thank you for the loan. They promise to pay the monthly payments on time.
