The people attending purity balls are weird. I'll bet anything that these people are engaging in incest and if you are a virgin why can't you keep it to yourself instead of broadcasting it to the world? They always say that the emptiest barrel makes the loudest noise.

Keep telling the truthBill! Next this group will be selling cut-rateFGM junkets to Africa so daddy can get daughters pussy sewn up
What with this country's neurosis with virginity? Dad wants his kid to be as lousy in the sack as her mom? It's only fair!

These purity balls are the creepiest and most misogynistic things I've ever seen in my life. It's like the daughters get "married" to their dads until they're handed over to the highest bidder who wants to buy his daughter from them. I'm not even a feminist and I can see that this is fucked up.

I think it's not right to ridicule a religion even though it might sound hilarious to you. I don't think there is anything wrong with a girl promising her dad she's going to keep her virginity. So please respect others' belief.

You know, I have known girls that came from this type of belief and they were very, promiscuous as opposed to other girls. It seems that the more ridgit the belief, the more kinky the girls were and it is not surprising considering that the girls were not taught much about having a self esteem or positive self image and especially sex education. I wonder the true pregnancy rate among this type of population really is because talk about getting abortions, this population is more likely than not

@ChipArgyle Hey, don't group us all in together (LOL), though I do agree with you and a lot others who posted on the idea of purity balls and what they represent. I think it is about gender and religions that believe ridicules things like this are ok. I think it is creepy, that there are other ways to talk to your daughter than this. Anyone ever read "The Handmaid's Tale?" It is a good illustration of the religious right and what could occur when politics and religion are mixed

Christians are so confused. What is it supposed to be? No sex until marriage or go forth and multiply? Remember kids, Adam and Eve weren't married either!
-
the average age for women to get married (for the first time) is 27 in my state. It's 29 for men.Do you really expect ppl to stay virgins until they're almost 30? Its' not natural. We'd have a very frustrated population, and that's not good.
-
@HeyMony25 No one is ridiculing honoring your virginity. It's the idea of daddy owning your virginity that's being ridiculed.
-
@ehenders88 It's also insulting to the girl. The dad says he wants to protect his daughter and let her know how special she is. He's actually doing the opposite by teaching her that her self worth is based on her virginity, thus making her a sex object. Plus is super creepy how their dad is so concerned and involved with his daughters sexuality...weird
These christians are living in the nineteenth century when women were offerings for their husbands. They don't expect boys to stay pure. But girls are different, they aren't people, they're property. Thankfully most people in the developed world know better than that and both men and women can enjoy sex freely. Baptists aren't living in the developed world, they're living in a fantasy.

LOL Thank you. I think it's funny how people are saying "it's great if you want to save yourself for marriage" LOL Why is that so great? Whether a woman wants to wait or not is irrelevant to how much I should respect her. She's a goddamn (and hopefully contributing) human being. I don't buy the "pure" bs either.
Only I may decide who gets into my Fortress of Sexitude, not Daddy.
