Dracula X (PCE) - Custom Soundtrack ~PART 1: Normal Route~

Always wanted to change the audio to several CD games, the first being Dracula X and the second Gradius II (PCE). I've since did both and had a lot of fun with it. YouTube user, Annoyboy, uploaded a similar idea which inspired me to upload this.

The video does not represent the exact quality of my custom soundtrack. I made a video before this one but didn't like the results because either boring gameplay would be accompanied by the best parts of the songs or the best gameplay segments would have unrecognizable parts of the music in the background. So I recorded the video with no music at all and added the soundtrack afterwards (same technique as my Monster Hunter vids). I wanted the video segements to be enjoyable to watch and the music instantly recognizable to the Dracula/CV fan. The music is from the various Konami music CDs available in Japan. I was mostly shooting for arranged tracks, but there are one or two instances of music from other official Dracula/CV game soundtracks (Castlevania Chronicles) as well as others (Vampire Killer/Bloodlines, Legend of Demon Castle/Castlevania3).

Because of time, only the normal route stages are shown. Hopefully a followup, alternate route, video won't be too far behind. Songs featured in PART1 are:

Stage05 ~ "Anxiety" (arranged by Goat... from Legend of Demon Castle(FC)/Castlevania3(NES))
Stage07 ~ "Den" (arranged)
Boss ~ "Creatures in the Depth" (arranged... from Castlevania Chronicles(PSX))
Dracula ~ "Illusionary Dance" (arranged)
Richter Ending ~ "March of the Holy Man" (arranged)

Every song featured is arranged by Konami except for one. The song for stage 5, "Anxiety", is arranged by Goat (http://www.powergoat.com/) who has a project called Unchosen Paths which is a full arrangement of CV3's soundtrack in rock style. This song plays during the ghost ship segment, and hence thought it was a perfect fit for this game's ghost ship stage.

I just have one question: How did you managed to change the tracks? I opened my rondo of blood ISO with Daemon tools but there is only 1 track which is the data for the game even through when i play the game i have all the musics.

I think Anxiety fits the ghost ship level better myself, the original music is cool and all, but the fact of the matter is, the level is supposed to be gloomy.

loved the musical score.. where did you find the songs? or were they all form CV soundtracks?

This game looks so fun. Too bad Wii is never going to see it on VC. At least, not in the US.

Even though this is only the second of ur vids I've seen, I don't think I've heard such beautiful and catchy remixes! Awsome and keep it up!
