Leak-Detecting Water Shut Off Devices
Dr. Lloyd G. Jones, Flood-X

This table discusses leak-detecting water shut off devices and their applications. These spring-loaded devices utilize a water-soluble cartridge and, therefore, require no external power. When water contacts the water-soluble cartridge, a spring-loaded arm initiates actions that close the valves already in place for the appliances. Units are easily reset by simply replacing the water-soluble capsule.
