A lot of pitching coaches allow the young ladies to leap both feet to learn to explode off the rubber and then teach how to drag a handkerchief to establish a consistent drag. No youngster learns all the mechanics all at once or the same way. These are just beginners (and very good ones.0

Would this be the Power X motion? They do it well. My daughters coach doesn't think all that is necessary for her. So far I have no reason to disagree. She throws strikes at 8 one after another. It's amazing how many beliefs there are on how to pitch. I don't know enough to agree or disagree with either side. I say as long as it works leave it alone. She has plenty of power doing what she does with much less motion.

Learn what a crow hop is before claiming someone is doing it... Both feet off the ground is a leap, not a crow hop. I see one girl leaping in this video. But sometimes on flat ground (not in dirt off of a pitching rubber) it can be easier for leaps to occur.
