Halo and Starships troopers didn't rip each other off. They Ripped off Warhammer40k.
The Mobile Infantry or SICON are the Imperial Guard / Imperium of Man.
Bugs, the Arachnids are Tyradnids, basically Genestealers.

We really have it in for France with science fiction. The Eiffel Tower has been destroyed in "War of the Worlds," "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra," "Transformers" and Homefront, to mention but a few. I keep waiting for French movies to knock off American symbols.

As for why the Eiffel Tower and White House are strategic, it's for the shock value. The White House symbolizes American power, while nothing in France is as recognized by the rest of the world as the Eiffel Tower. The destruction of both would create panic among citizens around the country.

I always wondered why SICON didn't let T'Phai and the rest of the Skinnies keep their own weapons as backup. The things need only one shot to coat an enemy in gel and constrict to crush it (deadly against Warrior bugs).

people see the similarities between Halo and Starship Troopers because A: Starship Troopers set the genre, and B: the Art and design of the weapons ships and armor was lifted by bungie into Halo.
I have no quarrel with Halo, great series, but get it straight people, this is not a rip-off of halo, halo rips starship troopers off
