What's more important - enjoying a TV show or movie that you personally, uniquely, completely love...or enjoying a popular TV show or movie with others?

Go watch Justinhabit: youtube.com/justinhabit

I've been getting a bunch of questions on VYou lately, but for some reason I can't get my webcam to work with the site anymore, so I have to figure that out before I answer them...

The end picture features my boyfriend Sam. Just for you, BlakesNo1!

  • I have a friend that likes many things that are obscure to her friends (and most don't really care), but I try to understand why she likes them and I think we become better friends because of that. It also helps that everything she likes I usually like (especially music). For example I wouldn't have become a nerdfighter because of her or even have found youtube, or doctor who. Sorry for so many words. X)

  • @Batmanlikespi I like this idea you bring up of trying to understand why your friend likes certain things. Although perhaps some people decide to "like" Harry Potter or Doctor Who because they are so popular, it's also important to remember that they are so popular because so many people like them, there's likely a reason so many people like them. I always like to read/watch things people recommend, especially people I find interesting or admire.

  • @alyiswriting If you live near Chicago let's do it!

  • @Hellybot I live near Boston, so it's a bit far...

  • This is a great topic, and it's something I've been thinking about for a while now. I'll be making a video response soon!

  • @neondreamscollide I hope you do! Looking forward to it :)

  • I believe that Hank made a video recently concerning some of the same ideas you mentioned. He talked about sports specifically and about how they are important because we make them important. I think that it becomes true with many things that people will make themselves like something in order to fit in. I think its more important to like something even though it may not be popular because you can introduce it to others and when someone else likes it-it becomes a really exciting discovery.

  • @alyiswriting Darn it!

  • @alyiswriting I clearly remember a "Sensitivity Boot Camp" episode. And a glass of poison, a sadistic sister, and hungry cats. And a Christmas Carol episode. I kind of want to watch it all the way through now. It, and "My So-Called Life". Ahh! The writing for Gilmore Girls is so fantastic. I'm getting to the point where I want to memorize the episodes verbatim.

  • @Owltalons I want to watch the original Doctor Who, and I wonder how I will feel about it having already seen the new ones. Do you still watch/enjoy the new Doctor Who?
