  • Is this based on the book piece of cake about a squadron on hurricanes?

  • @Prs4ever111 They had to use Spitfires because there were only 2 airworthy Hurricanes available at the time - a plan to use scaled down Hurricanes was dropped because they had flat four engines, which gave an unrealistic nose shape.

  • This gives a good insight into what our Fighter Pilots were faced with and the sheer guts and will they had to protect Britain and give hope of peace. I'm full of respect and remembrance for those brave guys who fought and effectively created the world we have today.

  • Sorry. My english is not very good. Yes... i watch this mini series in Polish TV 15 years ago? Maybe more. Moment when Moggy "speak" with Polish pilot about politcs(USSR and Poland) and this scene in 4:00 min i remember very good. There was sad times for my country(fight alone) and we feel consequences until this day. Great movie. Great Pilots.

  • @BADALASS: Oh right. I think I'm going to bye the series as I really enjoyed the book. Are all the characters the same?

  • Yes, Derek Robinson wrote it. It's a great book. It's followed by "A good clean fight" which follows Hornet Sqn into North Africa.

  • I own this mini series on DVD. It is a definite masterpiece

  • Anybody knows who made the music?

  • Not a bad says work, flying around the coast of England in a Spitfire at very low level.

  • @lothar29 Jedoch auch gute Nacht Jerry!

  • @Tiberiotertio Better Bouchons than the 108
