Hey all I am so happy that my comments have made such an impact on all of you. Even if you agree or disagree with it. First off I want everyone to know I do not consider myself by any means a expert on the subject of Opera. I only started listening to it when I started singing. I started singing as a form of therapy to help with my mental illness. Pavarotti indeed is a gem .He has my utmost respect. However when I was sick I listened to Placido sing this and it helped bring me peace.

@bodiloto, odiare Domingo? No....ma tu 'sei grande pinocchio'¡

@MrBbminor, ahahahahaha¡ Then (in your opinion) Verdi composed Otello for 'some hard German tenors'....ahahahahahaha¡ Desde luego que se escucha cada tonteria por estos lugares¡...que en el fondo es hasta divertido.

@tenorotti, trucatto?

I think a little piece of my soul may have died listening to this beautiful and flawless rendition of Vesti La Giubba. Perhaps that is why I still cannot stop my eyes from tearing up. Bravo, Sr. Domingo.

@sirdavidrush1 I like Pav a lot more. Not saying he's better, but there are songs he owns, and for me Pav does Nessun Dorma and Vesti la Giubba better than anybody, taking nothing away from Domingo, who does an amazing job at both of those as well.

i also think he's better, but it is related with everyone's taste
i like him better, cause i think he's more passionate while he sings, and touches my heart
and pavarotti is spectacular, but i don't feel the same chills
I've always liked the richness and masculinity of Domingo's voice and the passion he puts into his singing. To me Pavarotti is technically fantastic and very distinctive, but I don't really get moved by his voice
