The Messiah is great. If you haven't got a copy I would strongly recommend it!

Yes she does :-)
Shame she doesn't teach in Glasgow anymore. I've been looking for a singing teacher! It must be great to see and hear footage of her in her prime. A truly great singer.

I found out where I heard of Marshall - in reviews for her recording of Handel's Messiah. Hadn't heard her before this performance was posted. She simply attacks the recitative! That's a Rosina for you - fully able to rival her husband for fire and passion.
I don't particularly care for Muti's pacing but she is fully capable of turning it to her own ends.
