This song is about existing on the side of life without God and looking back on the unfulfilled dreams, empty hopes, and broken promises of this life that leave us lonely and full of despair. We are being called by God to come over to "The Other Side" where His love is unbounded and His mercy satisfies all of our deepest longings. We know we are on the right side when we cast aside ourselves and trust completely in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is only then that we can begin to live.

What track did you record first? I'm recording and we did drums first to set a tempo/give a base

@BurntTreeProduct Hey friend, we always put scratch acoustic guitar take down first to a click track and then I put the drums over that. Then we just fill in final takes on all instruments thereafter and edit away! I hope that helps...

Hey Keith, you're hearing a lot of reverb, a little delay and the usual equalization and compression. So nothing too out of the ordinary. Most vocals have all of those things on them. Hope that helps!

Hey Dan! No you aren't late at all! I am glad you are catching up, though. I have to do the same thing sometimes if I am off for a week or so. Hey turquoiseguy, Yes that is a ride on top of a ride. Good eye bro! I have a real heavy Paiste ride with a huge bell that is good to cut thru the heavier mixes. The other is a real thin ride that can be used for a washy or thin sound for our lighter grooves, almost a crash/ride. Ive been checking out your covers, nice job dude!
