In what now can be called the "Tears of a Clown" recording session from 1967, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles put together arguably the best collection of music they would ever record. From this session came songs such as "The Love I Saw In You Was Just A Mirage", "More Love", "You Must Be Love", and, of course, "Tears Of A Clown" which actually would not hit until 1970. The words and music were flowing like wine for Smokey in 1967 with "After You Put Back The Pieces (Of A Broken Heart)".
This song & "Tears Of A Clown" were co-written by an obviously talented teen-aged Stevie Wonder. Also, I didn't know that Marv Tarplin has passed.
