@AngelikavonDeutschla -- well, that's what music is all about. its an art form...it is meant to be interpretive. certainly, Tchaikovsky wrote this piece late in the romantic period and it is meant to focus on continuous melody and was intended to be expressive and emotional. expressive and emotional to me requires the player to make divulge their personal taste in how the piece is performed.

@Vaialinn -- i did this recording 3 years ago and we only get to spend four or five minutes with each violin (just long enough to take it out of the case where it has been for many years, tune it up, pick out some to play from the accompanying music collection, and record the sound sample...no warm ups, no practicing...and no re-takes). I don't remember the maker.
