  • I thought there was music composed by Allister Brimble in this game.

  • Pretty sure that's Descent 2.

  • OMG DESCENT!

This music is the PSX/Mac version.

The PC version had MIDI tracks. Some of them are better than the CD tracks but they're all good nonetheless.

I have the Definitive collection for PC and the PSX version of D1.

  • And yeah, I used to play this all the time when i was little too. I remember those green scratchies always scaring the shit outta me.

  • I really like the industrial space funk thing they've done to the original tracks.

  • @Szederp It's from the PS1 version. Mostly the same tunes as the DOS version, just re-recorded by some session musicians. Doom on the 3DO has a similar treatment done to its tracks.

  • last time i heard this music i was about 7.

strange hearing it now. very nostalgic

  • @MoreKogz This is correct. There was the PSX version, the PC version and the Mac version. All versions had different soundtrack scores.

  • Wow, whoever played this run through made Descent look like a real art form. I LOVE Descent and I could speed through mines, but this is absolutely gorgeous.

  • @Szederp Differnt versions seemed to have differnt sound tracks. the music here was in the version I played.

  • @garudoh do you know where you can get you hands on a copy of this game. I had it was back when. I also do you know how one might go about getting the soundtrack?

  • @vio21127, it's an opinion. I feel that the midi music is quite fitting, and the fact that is artificially created actually adds to the game...in my opinion.

  • @eddie20haskell Wrong. This music beats the crappy MIDI music in every way possible. In fact, I still remember my friend getting mad at me having this music when his version didn't. Back in the 90s he had a PC while I had a Mac.

  • i remember a game similar to this called "Forsaken", was able to play these games when I was young, but looking at the graphics and motion movement of the game now makes me so nauseous.
